Hunting for The Best Burgers, Beer, and Fries in Roscoe, NY – Courtyard Restaurant and Bar Review – Travel Adventures with Maxwell Alexander
The Courtyard Bar has become a Roscoe icon since it opened back in the days. The Courtyard has organized and hosted many charity events throughout the past few years to benefit local charities. It’s the place to hang out with friends, eat great food, and have a good time and the best part is that it is open even off (tourist) season and welcomes you for a delicious meal when you are actually hungry and looking for one 🙂
The minute I walked in, I felt like I landed in someone’s hunting cabin: lots of wood finishes and stuffed animals everywhere. I decided to sit right under seem to be an angry bear coming out of the wall and ordered myself a local beer and fried calamari just to start off this feast.
With the view of the bar, I had an opportunity to confirm that in fact, this is a place for locals and definitely is the spot where the Rosco community comes together. I like places like this for their authenticity and humbleness, the food and drinks always taste better without the pretentious “fine dining” vibe 🤠
The beer was amazing and I tried a couple of locally brewed Catskills IPAs. The burger of the day had a coleslaw salad built-in and those are two of my favorite things in one neat package, so I enjoyed it very much. The service was amazing and I felt at home the whole time.
All-and-all I am giving the Courtyard Bar & Restaurant well deserved 5 stars and looking forward to trying other places in the neighborhood, hopefully, they will be actually open when I come back to Western Catskills later this Spring 🙂
