Welcome to The Hawks Nest Cabin, a contemporary 1155 sqft. cabin nestled above The Delaware River just 2 minutes past the iconic Hawks Nest Highway. As a gay traveler who is always on the hunt for LGBTQ-friendly travel destinations, I found this place to be a perfect private getaway for a couple, a group of gay or at least gay-friendly friends :), or solo travelers like myself. With breathtaking views from the 20+ windows, a hot tub, a fire pit, river access, and a comfy living space, this charming cabin in the woods is the perfect place to get away from it all. The cabin is nestled on a short dirt road that leads to this natural knotty pine Catskill haven.

The cabin is furnished with 2 queen beds and a full-size sleeper sofa, all within an open-concept loft. The optimal amount of guests is 2-4 (a sleeper sofa is always an option for lucky numbers 5 & 6). A workstation/reading nook & smart TV are located in the loft as well. On the main floor, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen for your cooking pleasures, a dining table for six, a chic living room with a cozy wood-burning fireplace, and a bathroom.
The outdoor amenities were one of my favorite parts, the large deck with river views, 4-burner grill, dining and lounge seating, 4-person hot tub (Bluetooth speakers) and fire pit, and private river access all made this a perfect spot to unwind and relax. I enjoyed my favorite wine in the hot tub while taking in the breathtaking views of the river. The cabin was also a perfect backdrop for my boudoir photoshoot for the Cocky Cowboy series.
One morning, I was sitting on the couch enjoying my morning coffee by the fireplace when I heard loud stomping on the balcony. When I turned my head, I saw a bear walking on the balcony, enjoying the river views with me. It was quite an interesting sight!
As a certified fitness trainer and bodybuilding coach, I know the importance of not only physical wellness but also mental wellness. A relaxing experience like The Hawks Nest Cabin is the perfect way to improve both. The natural beauty of the Catskill region and the stunning views of the Delaware River can have a profound impact on one's mental health and sense of well-being.

The cabin's outdoor amenities like the hot tub, fire pit, and private river access are perfect for unwinding and disconnecting from the daily stresses of life. The peaceful surroundings and the sounds of nature are soothing balm for the mind and body.
The cabin also provides an opportunity to disconnect from technology and social media, which can be a constant source of stress and anxiety. The peaceful setting and the comfortable living space allow you to relax and recharge, and the workstation/reading nook is the perfect place to disconnect and focus on yourself.
Physical activity is also an important aspect of mental wellness and the cabin's outdoor amenities are perfect for that. The large deck with river views and the private river access are ideal for hiking and walking. The fire pit is a great place to gather and bond with your friends or partner and the hot tub is a perfect place to relax after a long hike or workout.
