Not only does this spot ooze that Upstate charm, but it also serves up mouthwatering burgers paired with some of the best craft beer around. Max’s Burger of Dreams 💭🍔
I went in hard for the LOADED BREWERY BURGER, and WOW. This burger isn’t just a meal, it’s a full-blown experience. First of all, it’s got some serious street cred—Winner of the 2024 Best NY Burger—so I knew I was in for something special. The burger itself is made with local Trowbridge Farms beef, which means it’s juicy, flavorful, and the perfect bite every time.
But here’s the kicker: it’s loaded with creamy sharp cheddar mac n’ cheese, slathered in sweet, tangy molasses barbecue sauce, crisp applewood bacon, and finished with fresh baby greens. All of this deliciousness is packed into a soft, fluffy Hawaiian sweet roll that ties it all together. To round it out? Crispy hand-cut fries that were basically irresistible. Hudson Valley comfort food at its finest!
To wash it all down, I grabbed a Farmer’s Daughter IPA – Rye (I mean, when at a brewery…). It’s got a bold 6.5% ABV and just the right amount of spice thanks to that locally grown rye. It’s savory, but super smooth, and paired perfectly with the richness of that burger. This IPA is a bit of a local legend with a 3.75 rating on Untappd, and at $6.25 a pint—or snag a to-go growler for later—it’s a must-try for any craft beer lover. I seriously can’t rave about it enough.
Dino’s Burger Adventure 🍺🍔
Now, Dino—my burger-loving, stout-sipping partner—decided to get a little creative and build his own burger. And let me tell you, the man knows how to pick his toppings! Dino’s burger was stacked sky-high, and paired with his go-to stout, he was in his happy place. Chatham Brewing has a fantastic selection of dark beers, which is Dino’s jam, so he was all smiles (and full belly) by the end of the night.
