Flea-ing back to your roots – a music festival in the Catskills celebrating local artists and businesses

The Flea Valley Festival is a one day event with live music, a variety of craft and food vendors taking place in the idyllic Catskill town of Roscoe, NY at the Roscoe-Rockland Fireman’s Field on August 14th, 2021. Tickets go on sale March 31st on eventbrite for $20.

This music and arts festival is the ideal escape from the summer heat, flee the boroughs and spend the day listening to live music surrounded by the rolling Catskill mountains. Flea Valley Festival’s inaugural lineup will feature a mix of artists across multiple facets of indie rock and folk with sounds inspired by 60’s rock, folk, and bluegrass with catchy melodies sprinkled throughout. The lineup is The Bones of J.R. Jones, Brother Moses, Sarah Gross, Shlomo Franklin, and Kali Seastrand. This is an opportunity for people to experience live music while feeling safe in a large outdoor setting with enforced COVID-19 CDC protocols.

The founder, Maria Muller, grew up just 20 minutes from the original site of the historic Woodstock festival of 1969. Inspired by that spirit Flea Valley Festival was organized to bring creatives together to collaborate and support each other during a divisive period in time.

“The Flea Valley Festival felt like a natural way to bring together the rural creative community after what has been some of the most trying times in recent history,” said Maria Muller.
