By taking your pick from these platforms, you have access to millions of properties across the globe – many of which would be hard to come by otherwise. For example, we love booking through Airbnb when traveling because it gives us a chance to immerse ourselves in local culture while staying at an authentic apartment or home in the Hudson Valley and Catskills.
What’s more, you can even rent entire homes that range anywhere from 1-7 bedrooms (complete with hot tubs and pool tables). Sure beats a boring hotel any day! Also, check out nearby hotels in case someplace pops up that is just too good to pass up on—we found one last summer near Tannersville (where we spent time hiking!) that had everything we needed; including rustic cabins with fireplaces for only $60/night. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating as well! We really had no complaints about our stay whatsoever; even considering other hotels cost twice as much per night. So if you’re looking for unique accommodations, definitely consider checking out some nearby rental properties; especially if they can help give your trip personality!
