How to Get the Body of a Fitness Model – Bodybuilding Lifestyle with Coach Maxwell Alexander

Even if you’re fit, it can be hard to look like a fitness model. These men and women are in great shape, but it’s more than just genetics—these professionals have great bodies because they do certain types of workouts and eat certain types of foods that most people don’t do or eat on a regular basis. If you want to achieve their amazing body, consider using the following tips when working out or preparing meals.

Know your Why

Why do you want to get fit? Are you aiming for long-term health or are you looking for an immediate aesthetic change? Are you trying to sculpt your body into something you think will make others like and respect you more? Or do you just want that extra boost of confidence that comes with working out regularly? Make sure your goal is clear so that when times get tough, it’s easy to stay motivated.

Workout Like a Pro

Unlike most fitness trainers, I work out every day. What’s my secret? I know that it’s all about consistency and I don’t let anything get in my way. Whether it’s rainy or sunny, early in the morning or late at night, I am there—working on improving my body and mind. In fact, training has become an integral part of who I am and how I navigate in this reality.

Eat Like a Pro

Many fitness models eat low-fat, high-protein foods to maintain their lean physiques. A few sample dishes include egg whites and turkey bacon for breakfast, broiled tilapia and brown rice for lunch, and baked chicken breast with steamed broccoli for dinner. Be sure that you’re getting enough calories—without overeating—to support your exercise habits. You should be consuming about 20 calories per pound of body weight each day.

Sleep Like a Pro

A lot of you have undoubtedly heard how important sleep is. But I still meet people who don’t get enough sleep, either because they stay up too late or they simply get by on less than seven hours per night. What many people don’t realize is that not getting enough shut-eye can seriously derail your weight-loss efforts.

Use Supplements like a Pro

Eating right is really important, but sometimes you might find yourself in situations where you don’t have time to eat or need more energy than you can get from food. That’s when supplements can come in handy. As a professional fitness trainer, I spend most of my day working out and trying new protein powders and supplements; however, there are times when I do like to go all-natural. Supplements aren’t for everyone, but they can be really useful if used properly.
