I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chappie’s with my husband Dino while we were shooting an Airbnb listing in the area. After completing the interior photoshoot at a renovated farmhouse (see the photo below and complete photo gallery here) with a view of the Catskill Mountains, we had a couple of hours to kill before the dusk photos, so we decided to explore the Village in Roxbury. It was there that we stumbled upon Chappie’s and decided to give it a try.
As a professional travel and hospitality photographer, I have a keen eye for detail and ambiance, and Chappie’s did not disappoint. The restaurant boasts a modern rustic style that is both chic and comfortable, with distressed, vintage touches throughout. The modern loungy music playing in the background added to the vibrant atmosphere, providing a contrast to the rustic interiors.
But the real star of the show at Chappie’s is the food. I opted for the Pesto Chicken Sandwich, which was absolutely delicious. The pesto sauce was flavorful and perfectly balanced, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. My husband Dino had the burger (as usual), which he said were some of the best he’s ever had. We also ordered a couple of Bloody Marys, which were garnished with crunchy celery and grape tomatoes. The drinks were the perfect complement to our meal, and we couldn’t resist trying a few more cocktails from the extensive menu.
In addition to the excellent food and drinks, the service at Chappie’s was top-notch. Our server was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The restaurant was bustling with activity, but we never felt rushed or neglected.
Overall, our experience at Chappie’s was nothing short of fantastic. From the modern rustic atmosphere to the delicious food and drinks, we were thoroughly impressed. If you’re in the Roxbury area, be sure to pay a visit to Chappie’s – you won’t be disappointed.
