This walkway is a multi-use path spanning two townships. On top of being a great film location, it’s also one of the longest pedestrian bridges in America. It can be used as a boardwalk to get to restaurants and shops on both sides of the river or as an easy escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site

Erie County’s Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site is a perfect location for photographs with beautiful hills and trees. Whether it is a romantic engagement session or a wedding, this backdrop has proven to be exceptional. In addition, the small-town feeling in Hamburg makes it even more desirable. There are some restrictions on what is allowed during public hours of operation so if you want to schedule your photo shoot please call ahead of time to speak with one of our stewards on duty. One of the most notable locations at Washington’s Headquarters is Mount Gulian overlooking the town and Lake Erie. It was completed in 1759 as a Dutch Reformed Church but was burned down by British forces when they invaded Buffalo during the War of 1812. Today, visitors can view this old site while taking in views that rival any other destination north of NYC.
