Giddy-Up and Glitter, Darlings! Prosecco and Green Grapes, a Winter Wonderland in Every Sip – Hudson Valley Style Mixology with Maxwell Alexander – Photography by Maxwell Alexander for Alluvion Media – Presented by Alluvion Vacations
Now, some folks might say, “Prosecco in winter? Ain’t that a summer fling?” But darlings, listen up! Winter blues got you moanin’ the blues? These emerald jewels, soaked in bubbly sunshine, are like little green disco balls in your glass, ready to light up your January doldrums. They’re tart, they’re sweet, they’re sassy with a capital “S,” just like yours truly. And trust me, partner, they’ll have you shimmyin’ in your snow boots like they invented hot cocoa martinis.
So, saddle up for this “Kiss the Winter Blues Goodbye” Prosecco Cocktail:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups seedless green grapes (the bigger the better, for maximum drama)
- 1 bottle of chilled prosecco (Extra Dry for a sassy kick, Brut for a smoochin’ smoothness)
- 1/4 cup elderflower liqueur (sweet and floral, like a springtime fling with a unicorn)
- 2 sprigs of fresh thyme (woody and festive, like a Christmas tree singin’ show tunes)
- Sugar crystals (for rimin’ those glasses, darlin’)
- Edible glitter (because sparkles make everything better, duh!)
Instructions:
- Get those grapes soakin’! Throw them little green beauties in a bowl and pour half the prosecco over them. Cover it up and send it to bed in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or overnight for maximum grapey goodness.
- Razzle dazzle those glasses! Dip the rims in your sugar crystals (think sparkly snowdrifts!). Then, sprinkle a little edible glitter for some disco ball vibes. Trust me, your drink needs to be as fabulous as you are.
- Shake it! Shake it like a sugar shaker at a rodeo! Combine the remaining prosecco and elderflower liqueur in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake it like you mean it, honey, let those bubbles get wild!
- Time to party! Strain the grape-infused prosecco into your fancy-schmancy glasses. Top it off with the bubbly elderflower mix. Garnish with a sprig of thyme and an extra sprinkle of glitter, because why not?
Now, sit back, sip slow, and let the winter wonderland unfold in your glass. It’s sweet, it’s bubbly, it’s got a little bit of sass, just like your favorite gay cowboy mixologist. So raise a toast to sparkly days, cozy nights, and the magic of prosecco and green grapes. Remember, darlin’, winter ain’t got nothin’ on you when you’ve got a cocktail this fabulous in your hand. Now go forth and glitter!
P.S. For an extra kick, toss some muddled mint or cucumber into the shaker. And if you’re feelin’ fancy, serve it in a coupe glass for maximum glamour. Yeehaw!
